AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #22 7/17/10
The Bargaining Team continues to meet with the company. Although we've made progress on a number of our issues we still have a long way to go on some of our larger issues; Health Care and Wages.
Employees are expected to report to their normally scheduled tours until further notice. The Contract expired at Midnight tonight and at that point we will be working without a contract.
Your Bargaining Committee will continue discussions throughout the night. This bargaining report will be updated as conditions warrant.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #21 7/17/10
Today the Union met with the Company; the last official day of contract bargaining before expiration. We will continue to meet throughout the day.
The Union has requested clarification on the flexibility to utilize personal days off and absence time.
The Union and Company approved a tentative agreement to our Grievance and Arbitration article. However, the company has yet to respond to several Union Proposals, and today they passed another retrogressive benefit proposal that takes Tier 2 employees to the Tier 1 Management Plan.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #20 7/15/10
The Union met with the Company for the second time today in efforts to meet the contract deadline. The Company withdrew the proposal to eliminate Sunday Premium and Day After Thanksgiving. The Union proposed yet another wage schedule increase for various job titles. The Union also proposed a revision for the use of subcontractors and outsourcing of work.
The Union and the Company will continue to work towards meeting our contract expiration deadline.

The full committee met this morning. The committee agreed to tentative agreements on meal allotment, Union time, and death in family.
A joint proposal was passed to the full committee for review on the grievance article.
The Union has passed revisions to the language for classification of employees and relocation of work.
The Company has rejected once again the Union's proposal for wage schedule increases for several titles.
With the contract expiring tomorrow night, remember to take your personal belongings home with you today!
The full committee will meet again later today.

The full committee met this afternoon.
The Union revised proposals to improve wage schedules for various job titles, overtime provisions, and differential pay.
The Union countered the Company's benefit proposal.
The Union also rejected the Company's latest wage proposal. The parties discussed clarification on 3 MOA's.
The Company countered the Union's revision to death in the family, overnight meals, and allotment for Union time.
The Company rejected the Union's revision to classification of employees.
The Company and Union signed a tentative agreement on changes to job titles.
The Bargaining committee will continue to work hard before contract expiration Saturday midnight.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #17 7/14/10
The full committee met this afternoon.
The Company passed revisions on Tier II wages and a proposal on a Success Sharing Plan that would replace our Team Performance Award for Tier II.
The Company rejected the Union's revised proposals on title upgrades for Customer Assistants, Dispatchers, Surveillance Technicians and Internet Assistants.
The Company also rejected the Union's proposal on Overtime and Differentials. Additionally, the Union passed a proposal regarding Retiree Benefits.
In an effort to break the log jam, the Union tentatively agreed to a National Transfer Plan and Internal Transfer Plan. The Company will promote the CWA NETT Academy Training Program and will reinforce new hire notification to the Union
After nearly a month of bargaining we have finally reached a TA on a few of the Union?s demands.
We still have a long way to go before contract expiration Saturday midnight.
The Bargaining Team informed the Company of the overwhelming strike vote authorization and that the entire membership is actively involved and fully informed of these negotiations and they expect a fair and just contract.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #16 7/13/10
The full committee met again this afternoon.
The Company countered several of the Union's proposals including meals for overnight trips, time off for Union activities, internal transfer plan, scheduling processes, and joint training.
The Company further rejected our proposals on classification of employees, time in title, relocation, and seniority.
The Union countered the Company's proposal on changes to job titles and to various MOA's in the contract.
The parties had lengthy discussions today on issues of seniority and neutrality and card check.
The subcommittee assigned to work on the grievance and arbitration procedure met today as well. Some progress has been made in these discussions regarding Article 16.
There is much work to be done if we plan to have an agreement before midnight on Saturday. Stand strong and keep up the great mobilization efforts.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #15 7/12/10
The full committee met this afternoon. The Company continues to pass retrogressive proposals including Healthcare for employees. There were formal discussions concerning the consolidation, deletion, and changes to MOA's. The Union made counter proposals and revisions for Death in the Family, Civic Duty, Overtime, and Wage Schedule Upgrades.
With less than a week to go, before contract expiration, there are currently no tentative agreements. The Company has yet to make any positive moves on any Union demands.
The Bargaining Committee will continue to work hard as we approach our contract deadline.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #14 7/10/10
The full committee met this afternoon.
The Union rejected three of the company's proposals including their initial wage proposal.
The Company countered our Civic Duty and Union orientation proposal.
The Company rejected all proposals which include title upgrades, overtime, contractor usage, outsourcing, and force adjustment.
The Union committee will work on revisions and counter proposals through the weekend.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #13 7/9/10
The full committee met this afternoon.
The Company introduced a National Transfer Plan in response to one if the Union's demands.
The Company also passed a wage proposal that did not recognize the Customer Assistants for their contributions to AT&T.
The Company also proposed the elimination of the current Team Award.
The parties are close to agreement on the grievance and arbitration language, as a result of the work in the joint subcommittee.
The Union's Bargaining Chair expressed our displeasure and disbelief in the Company?s efforts in these negotiations. Clearly, AT&T does not appreciate the value of the Internet Services employees.
Our committee will meet through the weekend.

The Union met with the Company today at the full table.
Subcommittees met today to continue discussions on the grievance and arbitration procedures.
The Union proposed upgrades in wage schedules for several job titles. The Union also countered the Company's rejection to Death In An Employee's Immediate Family provision by clarifying our intent of immediate family members. The Union reminded the Company the deadline is approaching and the Company needs to get serious.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #11 7/7/10
The Union met with the Company today at the full table.
The Company provided a data request response for populated jobs within our unit. The Company rejected proposals relating to COLA, elimination of outsourcing, and contractor work and would not commit to a no-layoff clause. The Company also rejected our proposed improvement to the Death in an Employee's Immediate Family provision. The Union passed proposals to increase the wage schedules for several titles as well as improved layoff allowances.
The subcommittee met to further discuss the grievance process.
The Bargaining Team had a conference call with local presidents to provide updated information and request a STRIKE VOTE.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #8 6/29/10
The Union and Company Committee met today at the full table.
The Union passed a proposal on Article 9 Time Off that includes improvements to several items. Discussions took place regarding the Holidays, Vacations, Personal Days Off, Civic Duty, Death in an Employee's Immediate Family, and Absence Provisions. The Company provided the job benefits we requested. The Union countered the Company's Benefit proposal. The rest of the day was spent in subcommittee discussions on job duties and responsibilities.
The full committee will meet again tomorrow, Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #7 6/28/10
The Union and the Company met today at the full table. The Union passed a revised proposal for Article 7 - Classification of Employees to help define a Full-Time employee. The Company also gave an explanation on the Benefits proposal they presented on June 25, 2010. There was more discussion on the overtime letter that was also presented. We are still waiting for the requested information regarding our subcommittee topics with Customer Assistant, Surveillance, Internet Assistant, Network Technician, and Dispatch titles. The Union will continue to meet with the Company tomorrow.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #6 6/26/10
The Company and the Union met today at the full table. The Union passed a revised proposal for Article 2 Company-Union Relations. The Union requested to increase Union hours and the number of Union Reps paid by the Company and also to reinforce the MOA on Union Orientation to notify the Union of new hires. The Company also gave a presentation on the New Attendance Policy and the New Discipline Policy that they plan to implement later on this year. Again, this was a presentation and CWA's position is we don't bargain Company Policies, especially those that could include or lead to discipline.
The full committee will meet again Monday afternoon, June 28, 2010.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #5 6/25/10
The Company and the Union met today at the full table. The Company passed a retrogressive benefits proposal, elimination of Sunday Premium Payments, and a change to day after Thanksgiving Paid Holiday.
AT&T has little regard for the employees that bring them their success and it is imperative that our locals step up their mobilization efforts in the field to show the Company it's time to get SERIOUS!
The committee will meet in subcommittees and at the full table throughout the weekend. The next bargaining report will be Monday, June 28, 2010.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #4 6/25/10
The Company and Union met today at the full table to clarify MOA's and an overtime letter presented to CWA. The Union passed language to the Company on Article 12-Team Performance Award, Article 7-Classification of Employees, and Article 8-Seniority. The Company provided an overview of the overtime letter they plan to implement in October 2010. We will refer this information to CWA Legal for review.
The grievance process subcommittee met for discussions today as well.
Our Union Committee will research and work on language the remainder of the day. CWA will meet with the Company again tomorrow.

Company and Union met at the full table to clarify the Union's proposals passed yesterday.
We then broke into subcommittees to discuss job duties and responsibilities for Customer Assistants, Surveillance Technicians, and Network Technicians.
Our Union Committee worked the rest of the day researching and writing language for some of our proposals.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #2 6/23/10
The full committee met Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Both parties provided opening statements including goals and expectations.
The Union passed 35 proposals regarding a variety of changes and improvements.
We have agreed to meet in subcommittees to address several language and member issue concerns for the purpose of making recommendations to the full committee. Our committee will research and work on our subcommittee items for the remainder of the day and meet with the Company again tomorrow.

AT&T Internet Services Bargaining Report #1 6/22/10
The Union Committee met late yesterday with the Company for the purpose of introductions, logistics, and bargaining timelines. The Company Committee consists of co-chairs Doug Flores and Rob Zurovec and additional members Bob Kelly, Steve Leonard, and Susan Evans.
The members of the Union committee are Derrick Blackwell- District 4, Carrie Turner-District 3, Toni Bennett-District 6, Linda Gonzalez-District 9, Bill Bates-CWA Headquarters-Chair, and Donna Bentley-CWA District 6 Staff.
The full committee will resume discussions, Tuesday, June 22.
